Kenyan funds, compared on what you keep.
FundCheck puts Kenya’s unit trusts and money market funds side by side. Returns are shown after fees wherever the manager says which basis they use, and marked plainly where they don’t.
Every figure shows its source and date. No manager can pay to be listed or ranked.
What you keep after fees
An illustration, not any particular fund: the return is the same every year, and tax is not included. Not a forecast.
Not every quoted return means the same thing.
Some managers print a return after their fees, some before, and some don’t say. FundCheck labels each one and never lines up figures that don’t match.
The fee is already taken out. This is what you keep, before tax.
The fee still has to come off. We show the fee right beside it.
The manager hasn’t said. We show the figure as printed, mark it, and ask them.
Side by side, with the basis spelled out.
Choose two or three funds of the same kind. FundCheck lines up what each one reports, says whether the figures really match, and shows what the gap is worth in shillings.

The Kenyan funds market
- 48.5% of it sits in money market funds, the funds most people start with.
- 4.1 million investors hold units in these schemes, up from 3.6 million in the previous quarter.
- FundCheck already tracks 180+ funds from 35+ managers, each with its source and date.
